Fun fact - this is also the reason the San Diego Chargers got the longest field goal return for a touchdown against us in 2007 (via Antonio Cromartie), though for a different reason. We were driving to get into range, had to do a hurry up field goal, refs kept the QB ball in.

Kick ended up one yard short because the QB balls weren’t broken in as much as the K-balls and the refs couldn’t be arsed to throw in the proper ball, history ensued.

No, I think that was a year or two later. The one he returned was a home game for us, the one where AP balled out was at their stadium.
