I see this all the time, and I fucking HATE this answer, because it implies that every service person is a paint-huffing ballsack who can’t wait to oppress anyone not in uniform. Here’s the thing. There are plenty of not-assholes who choose to serve.https://twitter.com/jasonbraatz/status/1211901110534819840 …

Right, but for every Maricopa County, there’s a Dallas police chief speaking eloquently on racial violence and gun control. I’m just saying, stupidity does not have a monopoly on violence, they’re just quicker to resort to it.

And yet, somehow, things have gotten the tiniest better over time. If you’re gonna buy into pessimism then you’re not gonna make it. Accept reality, sure, but don’t ignore those who fight against the dark.

If the majority of the United States military does not oppose the rise of fascism within the country then it does not matter a single goddamn what we do, because they have tanks, drones, and secured supply lines. I don’t give a fuck about tacticool police commissioner Steve.

In an actual conflict, it’s not the police departments that are fighting. They’re holding territory, and that’s it, no matter how many toys they buy with rainy day slush funds, and based on what I’ve seen, I think that split is not in favor of fascists.
