Sigh. Al Michaels calls a punt where Dickson didn’t even follow through on (due to pressure) a “booming kick.” Goddammit. Dammit all to hell.
Watching the first three, I stand by everything I just said. He’s barely hitting 4.1-4.2 seconds of hangtime, even on that long one. An NFL punter should be at least in the 4.5-4.6 range for an average punt of 44-47 yards. If he doesn’t work on his follow through, he won’t last.

Case in point, that punt he just hit. He’s only going to be able to muscle a mis-hit like that for another few years at most (and he’s lucky they got the holding penalty to save his average). Technique lasts, raw strength fades quick.

Seems like he depends on spin quite a bit more. This year, it seemed like he had more mishits, than last year. Overall, from watching him last two years, he does get some really booming kicks and flips the field fairly often. Maybe coverage bailing him out some.
