So I have some thoughts on Borderlands 3’s bosses. I think, on the whole, they’re mechanically well designed, but they aren’t particularly well balanced for the single player experience.

Now, if you’re with a friend/s, this isn’t as much of a problem, and can lead to those intense “WOOO WE JUST BARELY SURVIVED” moments, but as a single player game, it feels onerous.

Like I said, mechanically the abilities are all fine, and most require some interesting counterplays, but I don’t think I’ve been happy yet to face a boss in the game, which is a drag, because they should be epic set pieces.

I'm glad they patched the Killavolt fight so he doesn't electrify EVERYTHING and you have nowhere to stand. Nightmare if you aren't overleveled

So, all the worst parts of Jackenstein from the Hammerlock DLC and, well, every boss from Felicity Rampant on in Pre-Sequel? Woof. Glad EGS is giving it a six-month paid beta test.

I've kept track. I've literally emptied 1500 rounds of SMG and Assault Rifle combined into some of the bosses. And that's using high end Hyperion and Jakobs. It's ridiculous how much time it takes.

Graveward wasn't hard, but damn did that mofo take a helluva lot of bullets. Even with Jacobs pistol, assault rifle, & sniper rifle all critting, like mad, it took a long ass time.
