My take on ian miles cheong 'supporting' contrapoints: Without solidarity, reactionary vultures who want to see us marginalized out of society and murdered will swoop in to divide us further by feigning allyship with people we turn on for petty sectarian squabbles.

The goal of a vulture like ian is to cause the maximum amount of pain to marginalized voices on behalf of his far-right paymasters. NOTHING he says should be taken as anything other than manipulation of an abusive individual who is literally paid to hurt people.

It's amazing how many LGBT people and leftists who KNOW what a manipulative turd he is are suddenly taking him at face value JUST so they can have their little solidarity-wrecker parade bashing Natalie.

It's almost like the "breadtube" scene is a fandom and has reproduced all the culture of fandom including its fundamental ur fascism. To me, that is very strange and something I never would have predicted.

And people have the nerve, still, to ask me why I have no faith in movements based on people-power. "The People" can only ever be relied on to be disappointing and come up short.

Something like that in Terry Prattchett's The Watch, wherein it is mused that government by the people must be the right kind of government, and if it didn't work, then you must have the wrong sorts of people.
