I hope you'll be no less vigilant in recognizing the damage of executive privilege when Elizabeth Warren is in office.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that if Elizabeth Warren is denying natural born citizens a passport because they have family from other countries and their parents were immigrants, we are well and totally fucked

**All** executive orders, Chris. They're all wrong. We don't have a king (soon to be queen). Congress should authorize every meaningful action.

Congress should, yes, but that’s very hard to do when one political party that represents a tiny minority of the country is hellbent on disenfranchising everyone else. The time to fix that via Congress was thirty years ago.

So, to clarify, you're cool with executive orders, as long as you agree with them?

No, I’m cool with the executive branch having power to counterbalance the judicial and legislative branches, because that’s how our government was designed. With no executive order, you risk mob rule, or privileged rule (which is what we have now).

All that said, overuse of executive privilege can be a problem too, and should be addressed when it occurs, but I don’t see Warren as the type to do it. I could be wrong though! We’ll see.
