If he develops CTE is there a way to determine when? Otherwise there's a case to be made that he had it when he signed and was not capable of making those decisions. That would be my main reason for not allowing a waiver.

If he’s smart, his agent wouldn’t allow him to sign a waiver that absolved the NFL of prior head injuries, which he’s had before. But yes, I agree it’s brilliant if the NFL can get him to sign a waiver that covers his entire career

He could argue already had CTE and maybe even wasn't sound of mind when he agreed to sign the waiver though
