No no no. That's per year. Duration of the 1800 is 2.5 years. Duration of the 31 is, what, 20? You have to account for that. And, the 31 take half the revenues but 100% of the increase in team value.

Also, earning $400,000 for four years isn't that different to earning $40,000 for 40 years- especially if you end up too injured to work afterwards.

Realistically, where would you suggest the rest of the money go? They raise the salary cap, the top players just get paid more money. Like any other business, there’s not a great way to make the owners reallocate the money down the food chain
