Got our car registration renewal in the mail and all I can think about is how fucking happy these people look to be part of the fascist police state. Mark me down for “federal non-compliant,” please.pic.twitter.com/V9nL1GFQO8

Too bad the framers of the Constitution didn't have the foresight to add the Right to Wear Shoes to the Bill of Rights.
Why are ID cards so controversial in the US? I’ve been carrying a nationally certified ID of some sort since I was like 10-12. They ensure no one can just claim to be me and take money from my accounts, enter contracts in my name, etc.
Because these types of ID cards are meant to make it harder for certain types of people (read: “brown and poor people”) to travel.
I've a friend who was going to fly out of Louisiana to DC without ReadID, because his local airports have a waiver for RealID, but the flight back he'd need one. It's messed up.
Sad factoid of the day. In 80 percent of mass shootings the shooter has obtained the weapon from a family member or illegally. Restricting access won't really fix that. Check out a YouTuber named Beau of The Fifth Column. He has good ideas on this.
I had to get a REAL ID in PA. No choice. It required my birth certificate (had to order a new copy), social security card, & a proof of residency in the form of two bills. If you aren’t the one with your name on the bills, this is a giant pain in the ass.
