C'mon Chris, you're a smart, well-spoken dude. You don't see the difference between trained, organized military, with clear rules of engagement and the anonymous, masked, leaderless, vigilantes of antifa?

“Fascists should face no resistance until they’ve killed enough people to provoke a military response” is a pretty bad take.

Yeah I’m gonna have to second that one

That's not my take. My take is organized military isn't equal to disorganized antifa. I agree fascists should be resisted, I don't agree with some of the tactics.

And our military in WWII was very much “antifa.” That was the whole point. Defeating fascists.

Yeah, and it was great. The way antifa works now is nothing like our military back then. Their tactics today do more to give fodder and public support to those they would oppose.

And then we come full circle: The reason the tactics are different is because modern anti-fascists aren’t willing to wait until fascists kill enough people to provoke a military response. They can’t afford to wait until it’s popular to be against fascism again.
