It feels like every sports league and governing body has changed the rules to target a specific person at one time or another. It's never a good look, but this is just terrible - maybe the worst example yet.

The decision blows my mind, and falls apart if carried out to a logical extreme. They’re defining “woman” to only a limited range of chemical balance, how the fuck does that make sense? What’s next, anyone over a certain height isn’t a “woman” either? Melanin concentration?

If a naturally occurring characteristic falls outside the range they find acceptable for competitors, they either need to widen the acceptable range, or give automatic waivers to anyone outside that range that occurs naturally. In what way is their decision “necessary”? Bullshit

I mostly agree. I'm not familiar with alternatives, though. If we insist on having separate competitions for each gender, there has to be some type of objective parameter(s).

Ummmm, a naturally occurring hormone produced by the body is in too high a concentration? Have they studied the crazy amazing impossibleness of human beings? Does a man that has high estrogen levels naturally produced post child birth equate to a woman?
