You wanna know some fucked up shit? The origins of “left wing” and “right wing” originated from the French Revolutionary era, where commoners (who opposed) sat on the left of the king, and aristocrats (who supported) sat on the right.
Nooooo, it was associated with evil waaaaaay before that (primarily driven by the Church). I’d highly recommend reading some history books.

You’re not hearing me. I am agreeing with you about the connotations of left= bad. What I’m saying is: nobody told the leftist/populist/commoners/revolutionaries/Jacobins on the left side of the assembly Hall in 1791, whence the titles derive.
