I misspoke out of frustration because he is certainly not without blame. I think my frustation is that I do believe that things would be less stable were it not for Mattis and that there is I think more nuance when it comes to defense and foreign policy than many want to admit

Oh there's tons of nuance, I don't disagree there, and it's likely that things would have been slightly less stable under someone else, but that's like being upset your shit sandwich also came with a side of cat vomit.

I don't think anyone under Trump could prevent him from screwing over our country, and I think Mattis was happy to take advantage of the position to get things done he wanted to do while ignoring the byproducts.
