Monday night soccer update - The final was everything I could have hoped for, a glorious catastrofuck. I wish I could hang it in a museum. Gather round, people, and let me tell you the tale of how Chris' team racked up nine yellow cards and four reds.

Things proceeded in the same vein for the rest of the first half - they come in late, no card, we knock one of them over, instant card. Tensions are running high. The half ends, still a 0-0 tie. We have four yellows at this point.

Second half starts, hard tackles continue, they score about ten minutes in to go up 1-0. Couple minutes later, our guy who got the first yellow comes in hard on a tackle and picks up his second yellow. He'd been fouled hard five times prior, only one of which got a yellow.

He loses it, our sideline loses it, three more players pick up yellows for saying various uncomplimentary things about the ref. The fans start chanting "donkey" in Spanish (burro). Some ask if he's going to card them too.

Five minutes after that, a fan gets red carded, along with our coach, when a sideline ref calls a shot that clearly went wide a goal (it ended up not counting). The chants grow in volume, and the center ref's virility and parentage are questioned.

Five minutes after *that*, one of our players gets fouled hard, no card, picks up his second yellow for saying something to the ref, another one of our coaches gets a red. The game ended shortly thereafter with us losing 1-0, and thirteen total cards to the other team's one.

This glorious epic is now concluded, and I'm having a drink. Yay sprots!

This already sounds like a long game given the bad ref.

I got ejected from my first ever indoor game for complaining about a no call when the opposing player slapped me in the face. I love refs, really.
