To be clear, this Trump budget is not about deficit reduction. Even after cooking to books, they still can’t even balance the budget. This is just a plan to stack the deck even more for the wealthy and powerful and against working families.
The other shoe drops: After borrowing $1.5 trillion to finance a tax cut for big corporations and millionaires, the Trump budget pays for it by cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and parts of Social Security. It doesn't forget the "forgotten Americans"—it makes their lives harder.
The Administration & its GOP enablers up on Capitol Hill can't be allowed 2 cut Medicare & Social Security. We've paid in2 these programs 4 decades, cutting them amounts 2 stealing from working Americans.
What will Congressional Dems do about it? Will you compromise so the programs are only partially destroyed or will you fight against these cuts with everything you have? Will you construct an alternative narrative &relentlessly push it? Will you call on the CSOs to turn out?
This should teach the white working class who love their orange man that the love is not returned. This Nov. they can give their response!
