Maryland and DC should agree to retrocession and be done with these issues. Virginia took back its portion of the District of Columbia back in 1847. Why not let residents of DC become Marylanders & get their full, rightful representation?

Neither the residents of DC not Maryland want that.

So, let me get this straight: First, Republican senators hang around DC for weeks, irresponsibly spreading COVID-19 after folks were infected at CPAC. And now they *specifically negotiated* to shortchange DC out of $750 million to fight its spread? Evil.https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/dc-could-get-severely-shortchanged-in-federal-coronavirus-stimulus-bill/2020/03/25/9ac364f4-6eca-11ea-aa80-c2470c6b2034_story.html …

Why do I get the overwhelming sense that "blue" states and areas will get shorted when it comes to aid but someplace line Tennessee will be... just fine?

Thank you, Senator, for standing up for 705,000 Washingtonians. We send our residents to war; we take care of House and Senate members who live and work in the District; and we pay more taxes than 22 other states. We look forward to working with you to right this wrong.pic.twitter.com/hslLcACIlB

How about DC residents cease paying Federal taxes??

They short changed all of the Americans. Why wasn't it, as it was stupposed to be orginally, to the people, healty systems and states. No, all the sudden they need to help big business again. Cruise ships for God's Sake? We don't own them and they pay no taxes. Unbelievable.

Thank you for calling this out on the
@SenateFloor, though you didn’t have to.@SenSchumer, it’s too bad you couldn’t advocate for DC residents the same way in negotiations. And too bad that doing the right thing in the Senate these days doesn’t carry the day, right@MittRomney?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
