Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on a draconian bill that would impose a federal 20-week abortion ban in all 50 states. This isn’t about improving medical care. In fact, it would harm women and put up barriers to access reproductive care. #StopTheBans

Most all of Western Europe limits abortion to 12 weeks and with exceptions, for mothers health and other factors What is special about the US, that 20 weeks or even 12 weeks cannot be accepted with similar exceptions as Western Europe uses?

As a pro life and life long Catholic, I really don't believe abortion should be a wide spread medical issue, especially after the first trimester. If there is a medical emergency, the woman and her doctor should decide. It shouldn't be used as birth control.
