Terrible bill! Nonsense regs placed on law abiding citizens. Does zero to stop criminals! Bad people do not file paperwork. They steal or buy illegally! Will not pass senate and would be veto'd anyway! Language causes more stolen weapons ending up in criminals hands!
History was made today in the House. A bill to ensure universal background checks passed 240-190—including some Republicans! For all the sweat, tears, and activism that often felt hopeless—this is an example of why speaking out matters. Next? Time for the Senate to follow suit.

This is a good start. When are we going to ban all private sales? We can't sell alcohol and cigarettes "privately" so why guns? And when will we repeal the special rights that keep death merchants from being held liable in a court of law?
