Tomorrow the Senate should vote “yes” on a narrow proposal to reopen the government until February 8th, pay our civil servants, and find an end to the shutdown. It’s time for Senate Republicans to vote to stop punishing federal workers and the country.pic.twitter.com/Jw3cgOd7Wr

There is no point in returning to work for a few short weeks only to go through the whole shutdown process again. That is wasteful and disrespectful. If you haven’t the votes to overturn a veto, YOU NEED TO WORK WITH TRUMP TO END THIS NOW! #BuildTheWall

Credit where it is due... this proposal would get us furloughed government employees paid up for our lost time. I fear though that the gov’t would shut down again on February 11th. Since you have no hope of overturning a veto, I beg you to work with 45. #BuildTheWall

The Senate should vote tomorrow for President Trump’s plan which is very reasonable!!

Your constituents are with you, Senator. Please stand firm on no negotiations until the shutdown ends.

A CR till February 8? That won't #EndTheShutdown . Please fund the government, the entire government, until the end of the year 2019 and write some legislation that will make it harder to shut down in the future.

Chris, for once I agree with something that you said. Essential government employees should be paid. This temporary measure is a good idea because we can't trust our dysfunctional Congress to diligently work toward a solution to border security.

Voting for wall funding will reopen the government, and will only partially fund the wall. You will have pleanty of time to discuss this again before the president requests funding for the next section. Vote yes now and end the shutdown.
