What good is back pay if someone defaults on a home loan or gets their car repossessed? The grocery store doesn't accept back. How about all of Congress donate their salary to the furloughed federal workers?
The good news: Our bill to ensure back pay for federal workers has been signed into law. The bad news: Americans are still being denied services and federal + contract workers are missing paychecks as the GOP holds the country hostage to Trump’s demands. End this madness!

@SenMajLdr won’t bring the bill up for a vote, so it can’t be passed by Congress. In your scenario, T would veto bill, but the veto overridden by 2/3 majority of congress.
