Normally, I don’t like these kinds of games, but when you’re dealing with a 3 year old in the WH and an enabling dinosaur running the Senate, sometimes you have to stoop to their level.

There is little incentive for those senators. Freeze pay, freeze office expenditures, freeze expense accounts, no janitorial or food service at Congress until government is reopened.

What's Mitch's strategy here? Wouldn’t a congressional override be the best thing for both at this point? Then Trump could say “I tried to hold out for the wall but Congress wouldn’t let me .” And Senators wouldn’t be the a-holes who kept people out of work for months.

Maybe someone should put forward changes to the Senate rules that will prevent ONE person from stopping the process of a bipartisan bill being past. No ONE person should have the ability to kill a bill without even a vote!
