My US Senator has it right. Let this play out. If it passes both chambers, let it go to Trump and watch him veto it. Then let it come back to Congress for a vote to override the veto. That is the process to which the American people are entitled.
Paul Ryan should be ashamed that in his final act as Speaker he has again become a pawn of President Trump. Why not allow a vote on a bipartisan Senate bill and let democracy work in the House? Why do the President’s bidding? This is a cowardly way to govern.

Let’s make this clear. Members of congress has already left for the holidays. Trump is leaving In morning During a shutdown. Congress still gets paid while constituents will be stressed about paying bills going into 2019.
