If brought to a vote right now, I am confident that the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act would pass the Senate on a bipartisan basis. So why does Mitch McConnell continue to block any attempt to bring it to a vote?pic.twitter.com/WGl2JBoT3C

        Because McConnell is complicit.

Isn't there a single other @SenateGOP 'er who'll join Flake and show a BIT of spine to stand up to McConnell? We all know @SenatorCollins is nothing but empty words, but someone else perhaps?

Will you please find out how @realDonaldTrump has access to the “inner workings” of the Mueller investigation. If he is using Whitaker as a source of information, that’s beyond inappropriate. It’s criminal!

The same reason he refused to give Merrick Garland a hearing or a vote: he knows he would lose some of his own members. It's minority rule by the Majority Leader, not even the majority.

McConnell will do nothing to stop the Russians or help Mueller because he is as dirty as Trump.

It's clearly an abuse of power. Is there some way Mr. McConnell can be overruled?
