Thanks, Senator. I now live in SMD but grew up in Mont Cty (and the JCC :-). My mom grew up in Brighton Beach in an Orthodox household. She was a Hebrew School teacher and (like RBG) one of a few women of her generation to attend law school. Her dad left Poland to come to NY....

After the War, my grandfather never heard from his family again. My mom loved the law and was proud of her Jewish herirage. She would be shocked and horrified to see something like this happening in OUR COUNTRY.
