He didn’t hit him in the head! Also, defensive player already in process of tackling when the QB lowers his head to slide. Why no liability on the offensive player?

not to mention the QB being the one to change the target. Tackle is already happening when he goes to slide, QB lowers his head. Not the LB.

You have 558 followers, clearly you saw the screen shots that show he wasn’t hit in the head. Any comment?

Funny how both *helmets* jerk away from each other due to "shoulder" contact. Can't find your clause about "already started tackling" in the rules anywhere, either. Haskins was obviously sliding to give himself up, not lowering his head. Anyways, enjoy the L. Maybe next year!

Well, that’s how velocity works. I know as I have suffered concussions while playing quarterback for Michigan even though I wasn’t hit in the head. After reading the rule thoroughly, he could be considered a defenseless player. The already in tackle I mentioned /contd

Not only did they not call it, they didn’t review it with replay, and then they called a penalty on the Buckeyes! Outrageous!

The NFL "lower the head rule" is too vague to enforce consistently. The NCAA Targeting rule is too detailed. Why not a 15 yard penalty specifically for "striking with the head" (that's a foul in Rugby, BTW.) If flagrant, eject. Leave suspension to the conference office.

As a proud Asian mother and member of the LGBTQ community, this lack of a flag insults me. It is obviously a dog whistle to the anti-immigrant stance of the white patriarchy that dominates this hetero normative binary culture. Throw the goddam flag.

Agreed, why have it? It’s just for show. Contact was with the QB’s shoulder pad. Or is that off-limits now, too ?
-
Ohio State players are always ejected even when their shoulder pads hit a player’s helmet - when the player is “defenseless”

All he had to do was touch him with his hand. Dirty play.

Anytime arms are down during a tackle = penalty imo
