    Yes! Low gas prices was a nice upside consequence of the cataclysmic 2020 economic meltdown where 20% of Americans had no job, all the stores were closed, and 380,000 of us died.

    Under President Trump, gas was about $2.17 in 2020.

    This is the tear filled face of a child from Ukraine. It is indeed excruciating to watch. But these faces can be found in Syria, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Yemen - anywhere there is conflict or famine. It’s time for the United States to open our hearts and raise the refugee cap.

    Worth thinking about if true. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it, but there needs to be a plan in place to deal with a massive recession. *and there isn’t enough untapped U.S. production to make up for all Russian oil and gas

    I want to save Ukraine as much as anyone but let’s not kid ourselves: Russian oil and gas is critical to global energy supplies. Without it, prices would skyrocket and a global recession would quickly ensue. No alternative available in short run.

    One thing is certainly true: shooting down Russian planes would require a declaration of war from Congress - which isn’t happening.

    Two things that can be true: 1. Imposing a no-fly zone over Ukraine doesn’t automatically mean the crisis turns nuclear, even if US and Russian forces engage directly. 2. Running the risk of increasing chance of nuclear conflict may not be worth imposing NFZ for admin to date.

    Get it done. Few things are more important to global security than preventing the disastrous Middle East nuclear weapons race (Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey etc) that will begin if we fail to reach a deal.

    IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL: tells "I think we're close, but there are a couple of very challenging remaining issues and nothing's done until everything's done."

    Just remember, Biden believes it’s always better to move move with Europe. And he’s right. Multilateral sanctions have more impact and it denies Putin his number one goal - destroying NATO and the EU.

    Yes. And of course many of us have been saying this for decades. It’s frankly crazy we still import so much Russian oil given the fact that we could simply choose to run on country on domestic clean power.

    The free world has short term fuel and energy needs and for now that means finding non Russian oil and gas. But let’s be clear - the way to leave all of these thugs in the dust is to just, collectively, globally, say, enough already. Clean energy is the future.
