Last week, @SenBlumenthal and I called on @SUBWAY to ban the open carry of guns in their restaurants. We were joined by thousands of gun violence prevention advocates who ramped up the pressure. This week, Subway announced they're changing their policy.

So is Subway “respectfully requests” wording regarding open carry before or after the change? That is what Is on their site. With all due respect, that doesn’t sound like a ban.

And you expect some poor sandwich maker to tell a ln armed man not to come in their store AND enforce that rule?

The notice was a "request," not a "rule." (Read it again). I can tell you that most gun owners, if asked to leave a premises if they OC, would turn around and just leave. They would simply take their business elsewhere, because that hurts the business, not them.
