Senator, the first thing we cited in introducing Rep. Faso is that he voted to repeal ACA. That's why we pressed him on saying that he would not vote that way again. We did not forget, and informed our listeners from the very top.

Wasn’t a comment on your coverage.

Thanks, senator. And that wasn't a comment on your listening skills. My wife and I were married in Ridgefield, and love it. Thanks to CT!

I don't understand why the DNC isn't running a national television campaign to point these things out to mid-term voters.
-
Where is the DNC’s push back? We need to get loud!!
-
The DNC is MIA.
-
They are running some great ads in my area of Florida.
-
Glad to hear it. I just hope they're being smart and going after the
@GOP's lies about pre-existing conditions and the ACA. -
So I heard a podcast of Keith Ellison, on with Jonathan Capeheart, talk about the DNC and funding. The Democrats have fielded a candidate in every race for the House and Senate. No Republican is going unchallenged. They have had to pick battlegrounds and battles.
-
Democratic candidates running grassroots campaigns, taking no PAC money, have raised over $1 billion for the midterms from people like me. I have given small donations to 15 candidates and platforms like Ady Barken's Be A Hero. It connects me.
-
We did have one R candidate unchallenged (KY), if it happens again, I am moving to THAT district & running against him! Residency requirements too long to do now. He was in sexual harrassment scandal, refused to resign. I don't care if this district is in the boonies, I'm retired

Yes the GOP think their constituents are that stupid. GOP "leadership" have given their candidates the same script: blame Pelosi, "liberal" policies & lie abt supporting health care. The Dem candidates are smarter! They're getting Spanbergered
@SpanbergerVA07@DelgadoforNY19 -
And they change the script often. From one lie to the next lie. A giant pretzel lie and too many citizens fall for the manipulations.
-
Here, GOP is comparing every Democratic candidate to California politicians! ... as a SCARE TACTIC !!! ...Scowling pics etc, also using HRC even though she's not running. They really, really, REALLY HATE POWERFUL WOMEN!
-
Much of the GOP base is swayed by racism, patriarchy, and fear. Trump appeals to that in them, and they understand that. Policies and such are meaningless to them. It's the rhetoric, devoid of substance, that does keeps them voting for Republicans.
-
Yes and that is one if the many facts learned that disgusts, discourages, and enrage me the most.

Did anyone from NPR bother to fact check him?
-
No! They have been interviewing these crazy people without challenging them at all. Give them the mic and let them spew and then say “Well that was so and so from the GOP giving their viewpoint”. Media learned nothing from 2016. It’s not about ratings it’s about truth.
-
The late night comedy shows challenge them all the time, why can't we get that from actual news media??
-
Although - the comedy shows are very likely better funded, better resourced.

-
Yes, but not a reason for NPR not to challenge these pols on blatant lies and hippocracy
-
Agree
