Please take on each issue clearly and directly. "What abouts" are a distraction. What is our position on the Saudis killing a journalist in the United States. What is the Senate going to do?

The 2.7 million tons of bombs dropped on Cambodia led directly to the fall of the country and the rule of the Khmer Rouge which murdered and starved 2.2 million people. We need to know why the Senate won't take on crimes against humanity in Yemen.
-
We know why. It's the virtually unlimited oil money of the Saudi regime. Think of the $110 billion arms deal that keeps jobs in many districts where senators have constituents who work for the Military industrial complex.
-
It also keeps Trumps hotels afloat
-
Yerp. PS, How de we know if Saudi's are actually booking those rooms or if it's Trump laundering Saudi bribes.

Senator Murphy, Why the need...now...to make this comparison? In the context of everything re: Trump, bribery, feeling toward journalists, this needs to be investigated!
-
Because at this very moment the ongoing crisis in Yemen still maintains a fraction of the attention and outrage
-
I'm a "fan" of Sen. Murphy, and yes, the crisis in Yemen deserves attention, but we also need answers re: Khashoggi.
-
Agreed, my intention and I believe Chris’ intention is to utilize the massive momentum of this story about Khashoggi to direct attention to a larger structural critique that extends beyond a single diplomatic crisis.
-
He needs to DO Something, then tweet us about his work in progress. “But what about” Tweets accomplish nothing.
-
Since I’m sure you mean well, he has actually been doing things for a while now. But unfortunately, the American public has been underinformed on Yemen for years, and when the topic is raised in media it is rarely mentioned that we could put a stop to the Saudis unilaterallypic.twitter.com/5CHSCJ5p4a
-
If murdering several dozen kids on a school bus with a drone bomb didn’t rile the American public up enough to do something about the unaccountable audacity that is Saudi Arabia’s human rights violations, then its clear we need to direct attention at their institutional enablers

You know damned well it is, but this was also an American citizen. What has Congress done to address any of this??
-
He was a Legal Resident, not a US Citizen, but still abhorrent.
-
His children are citizens. Killing of a JOURNALIST is the issue.
-
why wasn't it an issue when they killed thousands of non-journalist civilians, though? like, I believe in the freedom of the press and all that, but a lot of people are insisting this one journalist life was worth more than all the dead civilians so far, and that's p disturbing
-
It totally should be as well!!
