When the housing crisis of 2008 caused an economic collapse did you tell people to stop using money?

I am saying youtube is too integral for you to say well let's just ignore it and go somewhere else, like there now there's no problem.

I think that's getting away from the point; just because you don't have to use youtube or Google doesn't mean it's ok for them to meddle in our elections. And if they act like publishers, not platforms, then they should be regulated as such, no?

1. There isn't proof they meddle in our elections. Please don't point to that study where his sample size wasn't statistically significant 2. There is no legal difference between a publisher and a platform. Rule 230 applies to any site with UGChttps://www.techdirt.com/articles/20190613/03172142391/once-more-with-feeling-there-is-no-legal-distinction-between-platform-publisher.shtml …

My use of the word meddle may have been imprecise; more exactly I think that they are calculatedly curating how content appears in order to persuade people to vote a certain way or believe certain things. And that they have enough data to do it mathematically, without fail.
