A SpaceX crew rotation mission is $220M and this money covers more than just a simple mission to the ISS. It is a test flight so extra reviews are in place increasing the cost. There is also the point of it being unplanned and having to close out the investigation. It's not 4x

As we inch ever closer to an American human rated vessel, let’s not forget the end goal of keeping our astronauts safe. I trust NASA will make the correct call on wether or not this retest will be necessary.

Anything but an uncrewed repeat of the test would be a massive error. 1) Boeing has a more than sketchy track record on caring for passenger safety (s. MAX disaster). 2) Changes have to be made after last flights failure, so there will be untested changes on the next flight...

Putting crew onboard a system that previously failed and has untested changes amounts to gambling. If testing alone was sufficient the error on t he previous flight would never have occured in the first place. ...
