I loved that. “They weren’t strong because they were angry, they weren’t strong because they’re hurt — they were strong because they’re strong”. Really, I don’t think anyone else could have said it better. I’m not Black, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t feel proud for Black people.

That was my fave line, too. I'm not Black either but I'm very happy to see the representation that the film brought for Black people.
-
Right? I just loved that it was so unabashedly Black. Everyone was strong, honorable, intelligent, and the cast is so diverse and talented. They did the comic book, Black people and the audience in general justice. Everyone should be proud.
-
True. I loved how it has given the fans a sense of unity despite all our individual differences

To me, minorities have often been portrayed as weak as a whole. Oppressed. They’re the underdog. We have strong characters played by actors (Samuel Jackson), sure. In this movie though, everyone is strong. Everyone is the top dog. And I love that.

I’m literally still crying after watching this. In times like these, it’s incredible to have a role model for a community that has been so poorly treated and misrepresented. This movie did everything right when everything in the world is so wrong.
