Antifa existed in the 1960s and yes they participated in the Civil Rights movement. The majority of antifa are not violent, however there are some that are unfortunately. The Civil Rights movement? It was in parts peaceful, physical, violent, and bloody. That's the reality.

The Civil Rights movement was much more than MLK Jr (a legend and wonderful leader). Much much more, with all parts of it playing an important role in where we are today. It can't just be looked at from that specific part.

I'm not saying you should. I disagree with violence as well. Antifa is made up of different groups, some of which are violent and I think should be condemned However I don't think the conversation should focus more on condemning antifa than condemning racism.
