Let's make sure every American can fully appreciate #ConstitutionDay by reinvesting in a nationwide understanding of our founding documents. That's the idea behind my bill with to bolster civics and history education in our country.

Coons: “You’re right, John. We should teach civics and the Constitution in schools.”
Cornyn: “Uh, yeah. That’s what I’ve been saying all along.”

Cornyn: “Wait a minute.”

Couple of things you might want to know, before you go promoting such radical things as civic education and the Constitution.
Of course it's a good and sincere idea. Sadly, too many who already despise our heritage will find no good in it, and those who already respect and honor our founding documents, don't need a new incentive. I hope that I'm wrong, and many minds are moved to increased patriotism.
There needs to be a nationwide effort to change the government course taught in high school. It needs to be taught Freshman or Sophomore year instead of Senior. Too many kids have dropped out by then. Our kids know NOTHING about govt when they graduate! Ask them!

Let's stop voting to confirm unqualified judges Chris.

Judge Cannon’s undeniably preferential treatment of the former president is a straight up “violation of a judge's oath of office to treat every individual the same.” She took that oath on becoming a federal judge. She doesn’t belong on the bench.
