My prayers are with all those facing loss due to the horrific wildfires on the West Coast. This is a call to action – Democrats and Republicans must come together to combat the inevitable tragedies ignited by climate change.https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/10/us/fires-oregon-california-wa-state.html …

Climate change will continue to drive disasters, including in Delaware, where we’re still recovering from Tropical Storm Isaias and the deadly tornadoes it spawned. It’s past time for Congress to take action.

From investing in clean energy to placing a price on carbon, I’ll continue fighting to pass legislation that addresses this crisis. Through our work on the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, I know bipartisan action is possible. Congress should act now on climate change.

Senator, with respect, we’re running out of time. I have a great amount of respect for you, but I wonder if a faster path to preventing the worst effects of climate change (we're seeing the less scary ones) is to pressure companies, not Congress. You can’t get anything done.

The US only controls less the 15% of greenhouse gases. Without GLOBAL cooperation, whatever we do is useless.

If only world leaders could meet and make an agreement (perhaps Paris would be a good site?) and then not have @realDonaldTrump unilaterally pull out of it.

As long as California, Oregon, and Washington aren't swing states, @senatemajldr isn't going to do anything to help the effects. As long as the Republican platform is that climate change is a hoax, your partners in bipartisanship are full of it.

2020 has been one of Canada’s quietist wildfire years since the 1990s. Maybe Canada is not in as much debt as California. Funny how climate change doesn’t cross the border? #GodHaveMercy on the people.
