My prayers are with all those facing loss due to the horrific wildfires on the West Coast. This is a call to action – Democrats and Republicans must come together to combat the inevitable tragedies ignited by climate change.https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/10/us/fires-oregon-california-wa-state.html …

Senator, with respect, we’re running out of time. I have a great amount of respect for you, but I wonder if a faster path to preventing the worst effects of climate change (we're seeing the less scary ones) is to pressure companies, not Congress. You can’t get anything done.

The US only controls less the 15% of greenhouse gases. Without GLOBAL cooperation, whatever we do is useless.

If only world leaders could meet and make an agreement (perhaps Paris would be a good site?) and then not have

As long as California, Oregon, and Washington aren't swing states,
@senatemajldr isn't going to do anything to help the effects. As long as the Republican platform is that climate change is a hoax, your partners in bipartisanship are full of it. - Show replies

2020 has been one of Canada’s quietist wildfire years since the 1990s. Maybe Canada is not in as much debt as California. Funny how climate change doesn’t cross the border?

I’m a constituent of yours but won’t be supporting you in the primary - mostly because you won’t commit to the Green New Deal.
