We need this bill enacted into law. Here’s what it does:
Guarantees free coronavirus testing
Provides paid leave for folks who become infected or need to care for loved ones- including kids who aren’t in school
Strengthens unemployment insurance and food assistance programs
Does it exempt large employers? Someone suggested a new employment tax to permanently fund sick leave. Could this be considered? Like unemployment tax.
It sure does! This bill is a step in the right direction, but it’s only a step. It will be important in the coming days and weeks to push for additional, more comprehensive legislation
