Despite many positive provisions, I am deeply disappointed that the final federal funding bill released tonight continues to prohibit D.C. from using its own local funds to provide coverage for abortion services to low-income residents.

This policy deprives residents of D.C. of that same freedom to govern themselves and violates the promise of home rule. It’s a policy that should not continue.

I am against this for two reasons 1. I am not interested in paying for others to have sex (that's what creates the problem). 2. I do not support paying for a Dr to commit murder!
