Before the 1949 version by Frank Loesser or the 2019 rewrite by , the original "Baby It's Cold Outside" was actually a song about turtle eggs. Temperature-dependent sex determination (n): One explanation for why many babies are born 9 months after the winter holidays.

If you have more experience and a burning desire to study choanoflagellates (and who doesn't?!), go ahead and apply. For the right person, depending on credentials, we can hire at other levels:

Coming to this a bit late I guess, but hey it’s time for another round of applications... and changed my life. Was lucky enough to be in 1996 course and I fell in love with the cytoskeleton. Connected with people that helped throughout my career.

Proud to be a part of this new paper in ! Work was led by in with contributions from in our lab. Has been v enlightening (and fun) to learn about the power of choanoflagellates as a model for probing tissue assembly and morphogenesis.

👋🏾 I’m a postdoc doing chemical biology research with choanoflagellates to understand how the first animals used cell signaling and if it that was important for the origin of multicellularity in animals
