Because many creators want their audiences to participate in the excitement of passing a major sub count milestone, and the anticipation and excitement is killed without like sub counts.

Obviously we know it isn’t life threatening or anything, but this change is useless and pretty much only has a negative effect for us. It’s not as much the numbers themselves as YouTube being unwilling to listen to their user base on even the smallest things.

And also, YouTube flat out ignored our feedback in their last tweet about the Subscriber Count and did it anyway! It’s like criticizing your school to change their dress code policy but they don’t do it!
