      ساور بعض سكان #HongKong شكوك حول قرار حكومة هونغ كونغ المتعلق بتعديل قانون تسليم المجرمين الهاربين وقانون المساعدة القانونية المتبادلة في المسائل الجنائية بسبب نقص الإلمام الكافي بأحوال البر الرئيسي الصيني وأنظمته القانونية والقضائية. (2/6)

      وانتهز بعض الجهات ووسائل الإعلام في #HongKong هذه الفرصة لنشر شائعات وخلق الذعر في المجتمع وتحريض المواطنين على التظاهر لعرقلة إقرار التعديلات في المجلس التشريعي. في ظل هذه الظروف، كانت هناك عدة المظاهرات والتجمعات واسعة النطاق ضد تعديل القانونين منذ يونيو عام 2019. (3/6)

      من أجل الاستماع إلى آراء كافة شرائح المجتمع على نطاق أوسع وعودة هدوء المجتمع فى أسرع ما يمكن قررت حكومة #HongKong في 15 يونيو تعليق عملية تعديل القانونين وتم إيقاف العمل التشريعي ذي الصلة تماما. أعربت الحكومة المركزية الصينية عن دعمها واحترامها وتفهمها لقرار حكومة هونغ كونغ.(4/6)

      قامت حكومة منطقة #HongKong الإدارية الخاصة بمراجعة وتفكير بشكل جدي في نواقص في أعمال تعديل القانونين. وقالت الرئيسة التنفيذية لهونج كونج كاري لام إن الحكومة ستستمع إلى الآراء العامة بشكل أكثر انفتاحا وتسامحا. (5/6)

      لكن بعض العناصر المتطرفة العنيفة في #HongKong يواصلون الاستفزاز وخلق أحداث العنف بحجة مناهضة تعديل القانونين. وكانت أعمالهم مثل شل حركة المرور ومهاجمة الشرطة والظاهر والتجمع غير مشروع واقتحام مبنى المجلس التشريعي تجاوزت نطاق التظاهر السلمي وأدت إلى التصعيد المتواصل. (6/6)
