      وفقا لقانون المجرمين الهاربين الحالي والقوانين الأخرى ذات الصلة في هونغ كونغ ليس للمحاكم الاختصاص على الجرائم التي إرتكب به مواطنها المشتبه به في تايوان إذ أن HK لم توقع اتفاقيات تسليم المجرمين الهاربين والمساعدة القانونية في المسائل الجنائية مع البر الرئيسي الصيني وماكاو وتايوان

      فاقترحت حكومة #HongKong تعديل قانون تسليم المجرمين الهاربين وقانون المساعدة القانونية المتبادلة في المسائل الجنائية لكى يسمح هذان القانونان حكومة هونغ كونغ بالتعاون مع البر الرئيسي الصيني وماكاو وتايوان في مثل هذه القضايا والتعامل معها كقضايا فريدة في ظل غياب اتفاقيات لازمة.(3/4)

      وكان هذا الطرح مفيدا ليس فقط في التعامل مع القضية المذكورة أعلاه بل سيساعد في سد الثغرات القائمة في القوانين وتعزيز الجهود المشتركة في محاربة الجريمة وتدعيم القانون والعدالة.(4/4)
