Also announced at FOCAC: Xi said China would encourage more imports of African agricultural products with a new "green channel", and increase the range of zero-tariff goods, aiming for US$300 billion of total imports from Africa in the next three years.
China-Africa bilateral trade has been steadily increasing for the past 16 years, but China has consistently run a large trade surplus.
