And how exactly does the public get to pick the people on this Assembly in order that it might accurately represent the public's preferences?

There don’t seem to be any industrial engineers on here? It looks like the same people as all other climate groups, all are great, but the same. I understand this group will help us understand how the public feel about solutions, but will it help us deliver change? I’m hopeful.

Welcome news Chris, although I was struck by the findings of the
@GreenAllianceUK citizens' assembly pilot:- Where a proposal required significant personal behaviour change, but respondents observed a lack of equivalence/consistency with existing policy, they roundly rejected it. -
Surely that’s why it’s important to have a citizens assembly? The point of this is to find out the public preferences for HOW we should reach net zero, not IF we should do so.
