A bit daft to promote wind turbines when we are ten days without any wind.

Yeah wind really comes in to its own during Autumn to Spring when energy demand is at its highest especially if heat is decarbonised via 300-400% efficient heat pumps.

Don't forget to include the deliberately-ignored costs: Subsidies - £9.6 BILLION this year alone (an increase of £2bn in one year) Back-ups by dependables Grid stabilisation measures The so-called Smart Meters fiasco £11-15 BILLIONpic.twitter.com/CkdPlGj2Lg

Which subsidy in particular are YOU interested in Mhehed ? Do you include the nuclear Hinkleyc subsidy at £92Mwh for 35yrs? Or the Hitachi £5bn #Wlyfa ?why do you pretend nuke doesn't need backup?what do you think happens during maintenance, repairs and refuelling of nukes?pic.twitter.com/OFjIJuJeyW

Plenty in the transport sphere: see all references to local #smarterchoices in previous CCC reports. These are as much about revenue as capital spend.
