Update: Chico police continue to search for the suspect. The City has lifted all shelter in place orders. Police activity continues in the area of West Sacramento and Nord Avenue, and people nearby should use caution.

Update: Chico Police continue to search for the suspect. We don’t believe there is a danger to our main campus at this time. People in the area of West Sacramento and Nord should continue to shelter in place.

Chico State's Lavender Living community and LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association gathered this afternoon to celebrate Friendsgiving. 🍂

PARADISE U, a physical education program created by kinesiology professor Chico State Cathrine Himberg, helps students affected by the Camp Fire realize the significant mental and physical benefits of active movement.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of the Camp Fire, the most destructive fire in California history. A moment of silence was held at the flagpole to remember the 85 victims who lost their lives during the fire and reflect on the community who came together in the aftermath.

Last week, Wildcats gathered to celebrate Diwali with Chico State's Indian Student Association! The event featured food, dancing, and activities. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.

The Department of Kinesiology's annual "Adaptive Sports Night" took center stage this week, brining Adaptive Physical Education students out to learn how to teach wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, beep kickball, showdown (table tennis for blind athletes), and goalball.
