Twitch should require partners to run x amount of ads per hour live. Don't meet the quota? Pship benefits start to be taken and the rev split for subs gets smaller. Keep ignoring your quota and you lose all control of ads played on your stream and possibly parntership removed.

The problem is that this shouldnt be escalated so hastily. Streamers dont run ads because they get peanuts for them unless you have thousands of viewers. If Twitch would want to ease the transition it needs changes from both sides. Higher CPM/better sub rates for playing ads. Win

Sure, they get peanuts for the actual ad, but why does no one fucking acknowledge that this business platform is one that they get to not only use for free, but make money on too? Boo hoo, have to run some low paying ads so I can make all this other money on the platform. Wahh.

What about a different format for ads? Banner ads that are there constantly? Cover chat every now and then with an ad instead of the stream. AND have streamer run ads on the main screen.
