This is a greedy move from Twitch. People are justifiably upset about missing live content in the middle of a stream. There are plenty of options to have ads that don't interrupt the ONLY reason people are on this platform (banners, ads that temporarily block chat, etc).
As someone who runs tournaments, the idea that a viewer might miss a crucial moment in a game because Twitch wants it's money is gross, they need to get their shit together and treat their creators like Partners for once

Granted but at the same time not everyone is like you and running a tournament. For me it’s my full time career and if people don’t want to see ads then sub and support the creator they like especially when majority have a free sub from amazon prime and don’t use it

Choosing to run an ad is very different from having random ads pop up mid stream, it needs to be in the creators control.
