that's never happened to me where clips have gotten auto deleted due to being made in a copyrighted section of the vod
It's something I was told a few months ago, I've only had a few occasions to notice it, clips would just disappear if taken during a muted section. Perhaps @The_Cobra_X can affirm that I'm not crazy? Seems like this would help the DMCA issue

I've had that happen to several clips of mine in the past. I've gone back to watch an old clip, but would get the time machine error, and later found out that the clip was basically removed. And it only happened when those VOD sections were muted.

Not sure if they have changed it since then. I haven't had that happen to me in a long time, but that's probably because I don't try to make clips from muted sections, or I just immediately download good clips on the channels I am an editor for

I never go back and clip in retrospect so maybe it was just a thing if you clipped a vod AFTER it got muted? whenever people clip DURING the live stream (even if that section later get muted) nothing has ever happened to my clips...

What I will say is that I don't think it was always like that.... So it's possible that it was a change they made that was not retroactive, which is why older clips are being hit.
