Except we're not (at least not directly, usually) accusing them of false consciousness and believing in misogyny or homophobia directly usually when we point it out. We're pointing out the v. obvious fact that they're working with the historic enemies of women's & gay liberation.

It might well take a degree of what they might call "false consciousness" for them to have rationalised that course of action (in the rest of the world, we'd just call that "being wrong" and understand that being wrong is something anyone can be quite often) but our interest is..

This also matches up with lots of other arguments around misogyny/transphobia/racism/etc tbh whereby you point to someone's misogynist conduct (in that they have a habit of attacking women) and they demand proof that they believe women, trans people, poc are inferior.

.. the thing is, we really do not care what you think so much as that people doing harm stop doing harm. This goes for people who convince themselves that adopting the mantle of trans activism legitimises misogyny as much as it does feminist transphobia as much as the fascists.
