Solidarity with detransitioners, whose voices are being coopted into a bizarre narrative by a bunch of ex-Trans conversion therapy promoting arseholes and increasing the lack of awareness of the range of reasons ppl detrans, and that most detrans ppl aren't TERF arseholes.
The trans community does not have a great track record providing support to detrans folks. Many of us know detrans ppl and have detrans friends but the idea of holding space in trans community for folks who have come to realise they're not trans is messy and difficult.
All the same, there's plenty of reason to be considerate and supportive of the fact detransition, like transition can be a complex messy experience and fundamentally *WE'RE ALL JUST FINDING A WAY TO GET THROUGH OUR SHORT DAMN LIVES ON THIS ROCK*.
The same medical negligence which hinders our access to care fucks with detransitioners going the other way so we ought to consider our fates as entwined.
